The Haking Uno is a simple 35mm camera. It was built in a factory in Hong Kong.

The model has a fixed 33mm lens that is not interchangeable. There is no focus adjustment option. There is no auto focus. A sliding cover protects the lens.

This camera does not have an integrated exposure meter. On the front, however, the film sensitivity can be selected via a slider, including ISO 100/200 and 400. The aperture varies depending on the ISO setting, with the shutter speed always being around 1/125 second.

There’s a built-in flash for good low-light shots. This can be switched on with a switch underneath.

Two AAA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) power the camera. These batteries are primarily necessary for the flash. Without the use of the flash, they are not absolutely necessary.

The camera does not offer a tripod mount, nor does it have a self-timer or multiple exposure function.

Recommended films for the Haking Uno

The Haking Uno uses 35mm film. They are still widely used and developable in most photo labs. The Kodak Ultramax 400* is ideal for color images, while the Ilford Delta 400* is recommended for black and white images. Other suppliers of 35mm film are Foma, Lomography, Adox and Rollei.

The color film is processed using the C-41 process, which most service providers offer. Black and white films can be processed in studios or at home with the right equipment. Instructions for this are available on the Internet.

A standard roll of film allows you to take approximately 36 photos. Film forwarding and rewinding requires manual manipulation through a knob and crank on the camera body.
