The Haking Junior G is a simple camera model from Haking in Hong Kong. There are also models like the Haking Junior and the Junior F. Unlike the Junior G, the Junior does not have a plastic grip on the front, while the Junior F has a different flash connection.
The lens of this 35mm camera is built-in and has a focal length of 45mm. It is labeled as “Hakinon Lens Color Corrected Lens f=45mm”. Peak performance in image quality shouldn’t be expected.
The camera has a fixed focus. This means there’s no need to focus manually, and it doesn’t have autofocus. A minimum distance of about 1 to 1.5 meters to the subject is recommended for sharp photos.

Films for the Haking Junior G
The Haking Junior G uses 35mm films, which are still easily available today and can be developed in most photo labs.
A film typically measures 24mm x 36mm, allowing about 36 photos on a roll.
The Fujifilm Superia 400* is often chosen by photographers who want vibrant color shots. However, black-and-white enthusiasts often prefer the Kodak T-Max 400*. Both films are suitable for everyday photos and deliver reliable results.
The color film requires the C-41 development process, which most photo labs offer. The mentioned black-and-white film must be treated with a suitable developer.
Manual film advancement is necessary as the camera doesn’t have an automatic mechanism. A thumbwheel on the back serves this purpose.
Once the film is fully exposed, it needs to be rewound. A small button on the bottom aids this process. After rewinding, the camera can be opened and the film removed.
