The Fuji DL-30 is a 35mm camera with autofocus. Fuji has had it on the market since 1986 and was positioned as a low-cost camera with few functions.
The Fujinon Lens 1:4 f=35mm lens is a fixed focal length and offers good image quality with sharp details and vivid colours. As there is no zoom, the camera is ideal for portraits or street photography. The 35 mm camera is equipped with autofocus. There is no manual focus adjustment option.
The 35 mm camera has a built-in meter for measuring the correct exposure. The sensitivity is read via the DX coding. The aperture and exposure time are set fully automatically by the 35 mm camera and cannot be fixed. As with focus, there is no manual setting option for aperture and shutter speed.
There is a built-in flash for taking pictures in insufficient light.
Films for the Fuji DL-30
The Fuji DL-30 is designed for the 35mm format. 35mm films are still produced by different manufacturers. One way to get color images is the Kodak Portra 160* and the Kodak TRI-X 400* for black-and-white photos.
The color film is a negative film and is processed in the C-41 development process. The C-41 process is standardized and is offered by most development laboratories.
The film in the camera must be winded manually by the photographer.
At a weight of 220 g the size of the Fuji DL-30 is 12,5 x 7,3 x 4,65 cm. The power supply for the 35mm camera is provided by two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). You can get this battery very easily and they last a very long time.
