The Fuda Color 100 is a color negative film. The film was produced by the Xiamen Photographic Materials Company Limited (XPMC) in China. The production facility for color films in Xiamen was built together with Eastman Kodak. Under license, the company from China was then allowed to start producing the films in the 1980s. The company’s assets were then transferred to Kodak China in the 1990s.

The Fuda Color 100 is a negative film for color images. You should expose the film to a sensitivity of ISO 100, which is good for shooting on a sunny day. If you can still find a roll of the film today, you should expose it a bit more, since, depending on storage, the material can lose light sensitivity over the years. One should also expect color shifts in the images.

Developing the film

The film must be developed in the C-41 process. You can develop the film at most photo labs. The C-41 process is a standardized development process. The Fuda Color 100 can be dropped off for development at Rossmann or DM-Markt, for example.

Availability and alternatives

The format availability of the Fuda Color 100 is limited to 35mm format. The number of images was specified as 36. The cartridge was marked with a DX code. The code contains the film speed, which can be read automatically by some cameras.

Production of the film was discontinued. An alternative for 35mm film is the Kodak Gold 200*. This film gives solid results and is good for shooting on vacation or everyday.
