The Fujifilm Instax Wide Black is an instant film. It is a special edition of the normal Fujifilm Instax Wide film. Fujifilm is responsible for the production. The film is manufactured in a factory in Japan. Both for the Instax Mini and Instax Square format, there is also such an edition.

The film is designed for color photos. This edition is special because the frame around the pictures is black instead of white. The film is good for taking pictures in everyday life, at weddings and parties or for vacations.

The image is developed after a few minutes, after shooting. You do not have to shake the picture, this does not shorten the development time of the film. It is best to just leave the image.

Film format

The Instax Wide format is one of Fujifilm's three instant film formats. It is the largest format. One image has a size of 86 by 108 mm. At the same time, the photo itself occupies an area of 62 by 99 mm. As the name suggests, it is well suited for wide subjects. Thus, it is a good choice for landscape photos, architecture or even group photos. Of course, pictures in portrait format are also possible, but then the wide part of the frame is on one of the sides.

You can use the film in the Instax Wide cameras, like the Instax Wide 300, from Fujifilm. It can also be used in the camera from Lomography. The Fujifilm Instax Wide Black cannot be used in the Polaroid cameras.

There are ten pictures in a pack. These are in a film cassette, which must be pushed into the camera like this. The film should be stored in a dry and cool place if not used right away. The film has an expiration date. Up to this date Fujifilm guarantees the quality of the film material. After this date, the result may vary slightly, this may be seen in the colors or also by a decrease in light sensitivity.
