Cosina CS-1

The Cosina CS-1 is a single lens reflex camera. The 35mm camera was produced by Cosina.

The lens of the Cosina CS-1 is interchangeable. A Pentax K bayonet was installed for this purpose. The Cosina CS-1 has no autofocus. It is manually focused.

The Cosina CS-1 has an integrated light meter. It can set the correct exposure for 35mm films with a sensitivity of ISO 25 to ISO 3200. The exposure measurement is performed through the lens. The desired aperture and exposure time can be set by the user.

The Cosina CS-1 has a bulb mode, for example for long exposures. A flash unit can be used via the hot shoe or the PC flash connection.

Films for the Cosina CS-1

The 35mm format is the most common film format. Therefore, some manufacturers still produce for this format. For black-and-white 35mm shots, the Ilford Delta 100* a good choice. For color images you can use the Kodak Ultramax 400*.

The development process for the color film is the C-41 process. C-41 films are developed by almost all photo laboratories.

For example, a normal 35mm film can hold at this size a least 36 pictures. The film must be winded manually by the photographer.

In the Cosina CS-1 is a thread for a tripod built-in. In addition, there is a connector for a cable release and a self-timer. The dimensions of the Cosina CS-1 are 13,65 x 8,32 x 5,1 cm.
