The CFP 200T is a color negative film commercially available under the CFP brand. The camera film photo limited from Hong Kong is behind this brand. The film material itself comes from another manufacturer and was originally developed for use in cinema film production.
The CFP 200T is a color negative film for cinema that was specially developed for use under artificial lighting conditions (Tungsten) with a color temperature of 3200K. It is characterized by its high light sensitivity (ISO 200) and its wide exposure range of around 15 f-stops, which makes it particularly flexible in use. The film format is 135, i.e. 35mm, and is therefore compatible with a variety of analog cameras.
Camera choice
Due to its 35mm format, the CFP 200T is compatible with most analog 35mm cameras. Models that have manual exposure control are particularly suitable in order to make optimal use of the film’s wide exposure latitude. Cameras with interchangeable lenses also offer the opportunity to expand the creative possibilities of film by using different focal lengths and apertures. For film recordings, a camera with a film recording mode or an appropriate frame rate (e.g. 24 frames per second) is recommended.
Development
The Color Motion Picture Film 200T was designed for development in the ECN-2 process, a special process for color negative films from the cinema sector. This process enables particularly gentle development of the film and helps preserve the fine details and color nuances. Development in the ECN-2 process should preferably be carried out by professional film laboratories that have the appropriate experience and equipment.
Special features and areas of application
The Camera Film Photo 200T is characterized by its special ability to reproduce skin tones naturally and vividly under artificial lighting conditions. This makes it an ideal choice for portraiture, interviews, and other applications where realistic depiction of people is important. Its wide exposure latitude makes it suitable for taking photos in difficult lighting situations, such as backlighting or indoors with dim lighting.
