The Sprocket Rocket SUPERPOP! Orange was introduced in July 2011 with the Sprocket Rocket SUPERPOP! Blue, Sprocket Rocket SUPERPOP! Yellow and Sprocket Rocket SUPERPOP! Green from Lomography.

The popular Sprocket Rocket in an orange edition. Of course, this Edition has all the features of the normal Lomography Sprocket Rocket. That means it exposes panoramas on normal 35mm film.

In addition, a flash can be connected via Hot Shoe, long exposures can be taken with the Bulb mode or multiple exposures can be captured on the 35mm film.

Camera Features in Detail

The Sprocket Rocket camera uses a super-wide angle lens to expose the film, including the perforation. This makes each photo roughly equivalent to two normal exposures, allowing approximately 18 images to be captured on a 36-frame 35mm film using the Sprocket Rocket camera.

The camera's plastic lens has a focal length of 30 mm and a maximum aperture of f/10.8 (almost f/11). The characteristic features of the corners can be observed due to strong vignetting and decreasing sharpness.

For panorama shots, the camera offers two exposure times: 1/100 second and Bulb for long exposures. There is no shutter lock, so multiple exposures can be taken by releasing the shutter several times. The film can be fast-forwarded and rewound at will. For close-ups, there is a distance setting from 0.6 meter to 1 meter and another for everything else (1 meter to infinity).

A strap can be attached to the camera through a screw with a handle that screws into the tripod thread. The hot shoe allows the connection of an external flash and the thread for a tripod provides additional stability.

Developing the captured film

It is important to be careful not to cut the film when developing it to avoid cut-up images. Most labs do not offer prints with the sprockets on them, so it is recommended that you scan the images yourself and send them to a lab to be printed afterwards.
