The Selecta 35 is a simple 35mm camera. It is almost 100% plastic.
The only adjustment option on the Selecta 35 is the slider for the lens cover. Lens, focus, aperture and exposure time are fixed. If a little more light is needed, since the camera probably isn't exactly fast, a normal flash can be connected to the hot shoe.
You can expose 35mm film in it; it doesn't need batteries. A nice film for color pictures is the Fujifilm Superia 400* and for black and white pictures the AgfaPhoto APX 100*.
The value of the camera is very low. You should be able to get one for a few euros.
