The Revue SR is a SLR camera. It was produced by Konica for Foto Quelle and presented in the 1960s. The model designation of the Japanese manufacturer is "Konica FP". In the USA, this model was also sold as the Wards SLR 700.
The lens of the Revue SR is interchangeable. It features a Konica F bayonet. You have to focus the lens by hand. The 35mm camera does not have an autofocus function.
The Revue SR does not have a sensor for measuring the exposure. The aperture and shutter speed can be freely selected by the photographer.
The 35mm camera has a bulb mode. With the Bulb setting, it stays open as long as the photographer holds the shutter button down. The use of a flash is possible via the PC flash socket.
Films for the Revue SR
The Revue SR is an analogue camera and needs to be equipped with 35mm film. Films of this format are still easy to get today and are still being developed. Possible films for the model are the Kodak Portra 400* and the Ilford FP4 Plus*.
The color film is designed for development in the C-41 process. The C-41 films are offered by most photo laboratories.
The exposure area of the Revue SR has a size of 24 mm x 36 mm. When the exposure area is this size, 36 photos usually fit on a normal film (135-36). The photographer has to rewind the film manually.
The Revue SR has a thread for a tripod. It can be triggered by self-timer or by cable release. The camera has a weight of 750 grams. The dimensions are 14,5 x 10,25 x 4,5 cm. There is no need for electricity to take pictures.
Nowadays you can buy the Revue SR only in used condition. The prices for a used copy vary depending on the condition.
