The National C-310EF is a compact 35mm point-and-shoot camera offered by National and also marketed under the name Panasonic C-310EF. It is part of a range of simple and user-friendly cameras aimed at amateur photographers who want to take uncomplicated shots.

Differences from the sister model
The C-310EF is almost identical to the National C-300EF model. The main difference lies in the way the flash works: while the flash on the C-300EF activates automatically in low light conditions, on the C-310EF it must be switched on manually using a switch.
Technical features and handling
The camera is equipped with a fixed lens with a focal length of 38 mm, which is well suited for landscape photography, street photography and snapshots. The maximum aperture of f/5.6 provides sufficient light in good lighting conditions, while the built-in flash provides additional lighting when needed.
Operating the C-310EF is extremely simple: the focus is fixed so the photographer does not have to worry about setting the distance. The shutter speed is also fixed at 1/50 second, which is sufficient for most snapshots.
The only setting the photographer can make is the choice of film speed (ISO 100 or ISO 400) to adapt to different lighting conditions.
Film selection and development
Of course, the camera can still be used today. The National C-310EF uses the widely used 35 mm format, for which there is a wide selection of color and black and white films.
Popular films for this camera include the Kentmere 100* for black and white photos or the Kodak Ultramax 400* for color photos. After taking the photos, the films can be developed at most photo labs or drugstores.
The film is transported manually using a thumbwheel on the back of the camera. After each shot, the film must be wound forward before the next picture can be taken. At the end of the film roll, the film is rewound into the cassette using a crank.
