The Lomomatic 110 Panthera is an analog pocket film camera from the manufacturer Lomography for the 110 film format. The body is made of brass and features a pattern of black spots on its metallic surface.

The camera was unveiled in early October 2026. At launch, its retail price was 189 euros in the German online shop of Lomography.

Functions of the Camera

The camera uses a sliding mechanism, in which the body is pulled apart for taking pictures. When closed, the lens and viewfinder are covered, which protects the optical elements during transport.

The model features a fixed glass lens designated Minitar CX 23 mm f/2.8. With a focal length of 23 mm, the lens covers a frame of 13 by 17 millimeters that comes close to a classic standard lens. Automatic focusing has been omitted.

Distance is set via a slider with four zones, which can be set to 0.8 meters, 1.5 meters, 3 meters, and infinity. The closest shooting distance is 80 centimeters.

For exposure, a metering system automatically determines the shutter speed. Shutter speeds range from 1/250 second to 30 seconds, depending on ambient brightness. The aperture is preselected via a switch offering f/5.6 for daylight shots and f/2.8 for low ambient light.

The sensitivity of the loaded film can be set on the body to ISO 100, 200, or 400. For extended exposures, a bulb mode keeps the shutter open for up to 30 seconds while the release is held down. Pressing the MX button allows multiple exposures within a single frame.

A matching flash unit can be attached to the side of the camera. This flash module has operating modes for daylight and dusk shooting, as well as a deactivation setting.

The package includes various color filters that can be slid in front of the flash tube. The camera electronics and flash are powered by a shared CR2 lithium battery (eBay / Amazon*).

The body has no tripod thread or socket for a cable release. A gold-colored carrying chain is included with the camera.

Film advance and cocking of the shutter mechanism are performed manually through the body movement. Pushing the body together and opening it again advances the film strip to the next frame. A rear window reveals the backing paper of the cartridge, where the current frame number can be read.

Films for the Lomomatic 110 Panthera

The camera uses 110 pocket film cartridges. These cartridges have two chambers and are placed directly into the opened film compartment. No manual threading of the film leader is required with this system.

For color shots, the Lomography Color Tiger 110 with a sensitivity of ISO 200 is available. For monochrome shots, the Lomography Orca 110* with a sensitivity of ISO 100 is suitable.

Processing 110 color negative films follows the standardized C-41 process. Commercial photo processing laboratories and retail photo departments accept these cartridges for film development and scanning. Black-and-white films go through a separate chemical development process.
