The Lomo'Instant Havana is an instant camera. The Lomography camera is a special edition of the Lomo'Instant.
The Lomo'Instant Havana was introduced in July 2015. It is named after the Cuban capital, however the English spelling of the largest metropolis in the Caribbean was used.
The design of the camera is white and turquoise. The range of functions does not differ from the other editions. The package includes the camera, the Lomo'Instant Splitzer, three attachments for the lens, color filters for the flash, instruction manual and tips for taking pictures with the instant camera.
Features of the instant camera
The Lomo'Instant is a manual instant camera that uses Fujifilm Instax Mini film. Films are still being manufactured for this film format. So there is a good color film with the Instax Mini Film*. But there is also a black and white film, the Instax Mini Monochrome*.
The camera has manual focus and a maximum aperture of f/8. The closest focusing distance is 40 cm, which means that sharp imaging is possible even with close subjects. The camera offers two shutter speeds, 1/125 s and Bulb mode, which allows long exposures. The built-in flash can be used in auto or manual mode and has a flash sync speed of 1/125 sec.
The Lomo'Instant Havana offers three modes of operation: auto flash, manual flash and manual mode without flash. In auto mode, the flash level is automatically adjusted to the lighting situation, while in manual mode, the exposure time can be set. With the manual mode without flash, you have the option to choose the exposure time without flash. Also included are color filters that can be used to color the flash or later images.
The Lomo'Instant has a tripod thread and a cable release thread, which is especially useful for long exposures and using tripods. The camera also offers a switch for multiple exposures and a mirror on the front, which can be useful for self-portraits/selfies.
