The Kodak S350 is a camera for snapshots of the VR35 series. It was introduced by Kodak towards the end of the 1980s. The 35mm photo camera was also available on the market under the name "Kodak 35 MD". The Kodak VR35 K40 is also similar to this model in terms of functionality, but has a different positioning of the flash ready light and frame counter.

The photo camera comes with a fixed lens. The lens is called "Kodak Ektanar". The focal length is 35mm and the maximum aperture is f/4.5. The distance setting of the lens cannot be changed.

The 35mm camera comes with a light meter. The sensitivity is read via the DX code on the cartridge of the film. The aperture and exposure time are set automatically and cannot be changed. So the photographer can do nothing but press the shutter button on the top and hope that the picture turns out to be something.

Sufficient light is provided by the built-in flash. This is located on the right side of the camera (looking at the front). The power source of the Kodak S350 are two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). There is no thread for a tripod on this model.

Films for the Kodak S350

According to the instructions, the Kodak S350 requires 35mm film. The film is automatically advanced by the camera after each frame. Once the film stock is filled, the film is wound back into the cartridge and can then be taken for development.

35 mm films are still produced today. They can be developed in most laboratories. A color film for the 35mm camera would be the Kodak Ultramax 400*. A possible film for black and white images is the Kodak T-Max 100*. Both films come with space for 36 images. Of course, you can also use films from other manufacturers.
