The Haking CF 35 is a camera model from Haking. This simple 35mm format device comes from Asia from the company Haking. This model was also marketed under other names. An overview is available via this link.
It has a fixed lens with a focal length of 33 mm that is not interchangeable. There are no adjustments to the focus. A sliding door protects the lens from damage.
There is no built-in exposure metering function in this camera. However, you can select the film sensitivity using a control on the front. These include ISO 100/200, ISO 400 and ISO 1000. Depending on the setting selected, the aperture varies. The shutter speed remains constant at around 1/125 second.
An integrated flash enables clear photos in low light conditions. This is activated via a slide switch directly below.
The energy is supplied by two AAA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). These batteries are primarily necessary for flash operation. If you take photos without a flash, batteries are not absolutely necessary.
There is no tripod thread on this model. There is also no self-timer or date imprint function.
Film selection for the Haking CF 35
The Haking CF 35 uses 35mm film. These are still widely used and developable in most laboratories. A suitable color film is the Kodak Gold 200*, while for black and white shots the Ilford Delta 400* is ideal. Other 35mm film providers are Foma, Adox and Rollei.
The color film is developed using the C-41 process. This process is offered by most service providers. Black and white films can be developed both in laboratories and at home with appropriate equipment. Instructions for this can be found on the internet.
The image area for the recordings measures 24 mm x 36 mm. A standard roll of film can typically store around 36 photos. The photographer must continue rotating the film by hand to continue taking photographs. Rewinding is also done manually using a button at the bottom and a crank at the top of the housing.
