The Fuji DL-200 is a 35mm camera. It is the first autofocus camera with drop-in loading system support. Fuji introduced it in 1983. The 35mm camera was also available on the Japanese market under the name "Fuji Cardia".
The 35 mm camera comes with a fixed lens. The focal length cannot be changed and is 32 mm. The largest aperture available is f/2.8 and the lens is focused by autofocus. To get sharp pictures, you should be at least 60 cm away from your subject.
An exposure meter is built into the Fuji DL-200. This is designed for an ISO range of 50 to 1600. The film speed is read out via the DX code on the film cartridge. If there is no DX encoding, the camera exposes the film to ISO 100 and the Fuji DL-200 has an automatic exposure mode and sets the aperture and exposure time automatically. There is a built-in flash for shooting under low light conditions.
The camera comes with a built-in battery. The camera should be sent in every few years to have the battery replaced by a technician at Fuji. Later, Fuji DL-200 II / Fuji Cardia II was introduced, a model with a replaceable battery.
Films for the Fuji DL-200
The Fuji DL-200 requires 35mm films. For this film format, there is still a good selection of material for color and black and white images. Possible films for the Fuji DL-200 are the Fujifilm Superia 200* for color pictures and the AgfaPhoto APX 100* for black and white photos.
The transport of the film works automatically. The camera weighs 265 g and the dimensions are 13,4 x 6,9 x 4,25 cm.
