The Fuji Rensha Cardia is a multi-lens camera. The 35 mm camera was built by Fuji and is equipped with eight lenses. Later followed a camera with sixteen lenses, the Rensha Cardia Byu-n 16 / Kalimar Action Shot 16.
In the Fuji Rensha Cardia, eight lenses (in two groups of four) are installed in a row. The focal length of the lenses is 20 mm. The maximum aperture is f/9.5 and the distance setting of the lenses cannot be changed.
When the shutter-release button is pressed, the camera releases the shutter locks one after the other. There are three settings for the speed at which this happens.
Films for the Fuji Rensha Cardia
For photographing with the Fuji Rensha Cardia, 35mm films are needed. 35mm films are still offered by various manufacturers. A color film for the 35mm camera would be the Kodak Ultramax 400*. One possible film for black-and-white images is the AgfaPhoto APX 400*.
Due to the small aperture and the short exposure time, the camera should be used mainly with highly sensitive films.
