The Edixa 135 AF Motor is a compact camera for the 35mm format. It was produced in Hong Kong. Haking is probably the manufacturer of this model. The company offered a similar model as the Haking MW 35AF.
The fixed lens has a focal length of 38 mm, combined with a maximum aperture of f/3.8.
An automatic focus, controlled by a sensor in combination with the camera electronic, determines the focal point of the recording. You should always make sure to keep a distance of at least 100 cm from the target object, because manual adjustment of the focus point is impossible.
The built-in exposure meter of the Edixa 135 AF motor is available for precise light measurements. It captures ISO values ranging from 64 to 400. In this 35mm version, automatic exposure control takes over, with only the aperture changing. The shutter speed remains the same at a value of 1/125 second.
If the light is not sufficient, the internal flash, which can be activated using a switch on the front, jumps in.
The Edixa 135 AF Motor is equipped with a cable release connection, a tripod connection and a device for a carrying strap.
Its energy source is two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*), which are easily accessible. Rechargeable models are also compatible. A set of batteries offers an impressive lifespan.
Film Options for the Edixa 135 AF Motor
Without 35mm film, the Edixa 135 AF Motor is useless. The manufacturer recommends 35mm film, which can easily be developed in specialized laboratories.
Recommended 35mm films include Kodak Ultramax 400* and Ilford Delta 400*. These guarantee high-quality results in different environments. Suitable films are also available from Lomography, Rollei, Fujifilm and Adox.
The format of the camera is 24 mm x 36 mm. A conventional film (135-36) usually contains 36 exposures. A motor ensures that the film is automatically advanced after each use and when rewinding.
A window on the top of the camera provides information about the film status and the number of recordings already made.
