The Chinon CE II Memotron is an SLR camera for the 35mm format. It was introduced in the 70s and is the successor of the CE-3. The CE II Memotron was also sold by Foto Quelle as Revueflex 5005. The German competitor Photo Porst sold the camera as Porst Reflex M-CE.
The Chinon CE II Memotron offers the possibility of interchangeable lenses. Lenses with the M42 thread (Pentax/Praktica) are supported. The aperture therefore depends on the selected lens.
The SLR camera offers exposure times from 1/2000 second to 1 second. There is also a bulb mode. The built-in light meter measures the exposure through the lens (TTL).
Other features include the self-timer, connection for a flash and a thread for a tripod. The body alone weighs in at 760 grams. The dimensions are 14.5 cm x 9.7 cm x 5.45 cm.
The Chinon CE II Memotron exposes 35mm films (eBay / Amazon*). These are still readily and cheaply available today and are developed by many laboratories. The size of the images is 24mm x 36mm.
