The BeLomo Elikon-35C is a 35mm camera from Belarus. It was manufactured in Minsk in the 1980s. The model is quite similar to the Konica C35 AF.
The 35mm camera has an Industar-95 38 mm f2.8 lens, which cannot be replaced. It is focused manually. In 1986, a version with autofocus was introduced with the Elikon Autofocus.
A light meter is built into the Ellikon 35C. The “sensor” is located at the bottom of the front of the lens, and the ISO (or Gost) value of the film is also indicated there.
Exposure times range from 1/500 seconds to 1/8 seconds. If desired, the built-in flash can be switched on.
The camera, whose body is made of black plastic, is loaded with normal 35mm film, which is still available today.
BeLomo stands for Belorusskoe Optiko-Mechanichesckoye Obyedinenie (Белорусское оптико-механическое объединение). The company was founded in 1972 in the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic, today’s Belarus.
