The B.I.G. Twin 3 is a twin-lens reflex camera. The medium format camera was distributed by Foto Brenner. However, it was produced by the makers of the Seagull TLRs in China.
The lens of the B.I.G. Twin 3 is fixed. The lens has a maximum aperture of f/3.5 and the focal length is 75 mm. It therefore bears the designation “Tessalith-3”. You have to focus the lens by hand with the help of the shaft finder. The medium format camera does not have an autofocus function. The minimum distance to the subject must be 1 meter.
The exposure is not measured by the camera. The exposure time and aperture can be freely selected. The camera has a Bulb mode. In this mode, the shutter is opened as long as the shutter release button is pressed. An external flash can be connected to the hot shoe. In addition, there is a PC flash socket.

Possible films for the B.I.G. Twin 3 are the Kodak Portra 160* for color images and the Ilford Delta 100* for black and white images.
The color film is processed using the C-41 process. C-41 films are developed by almost all photo labs. The black and white film must be processed in a B&W developer.
The camera exposes a format of 6 x 6. To the next image, the photographer must manually advance the film with a crank.
The medium format camera has a thread for a tripod. In addition, there is a connection for a cable release and a self-timer. The camera does not need electricity to take pictures.
The medium format camera is still available in used condition. The used price of a B.I.G. Twin 3 depends on the condition. Depending on the model, you probably pay something between 80 and 150 Euro for one today.
