Agfa FunCam Slimline

The Agfa FunCam Slimline is a 35mm camera. It is a simple compact camera for snapshots. The model was aimed at beginners and occasional users.

This camera model has a non-interchangeable lens. 28 mm is the focal length of the lens. The distance settings cannot be adjusted on this model. The focus is unchangeable. An autofocus system has not been integrated into the camera.

Adjustment options are not offered by the Agfa FunCam Slimline. There is a built-in flash for taking pictures in insufficient light. The flash fires automatically. It cannot be switched off.

According to the manual, the dimensions of the 35mm camera are 11.1 x 6.6 x 3.6 cm. At the same time, it weighs 115 grams. The housing is made of plastic and is silver in color.

The camera is powered by an AA battery (eBay / Amazon*). This type of battery is very easy to find and inexpensive. The battery powers the flash and also the built-in motor for film transport (auto winding).

Films for the Agfa FunCam Slimline

The Agfa FunCam Slimline is a film camera and is loaded with 35mm film. For this film format there is still a good selection of material for color and black and white images. Foma, Adox, Fujifilm and also Rollei are still suppliers of 35mm film.

One possibility for B&W images is Ilford HP5*. A possible film for color images is the Kodak Ultramax 400*. Test reports attest to their good performance when used in normal applications. About 36 frames fit on a roll of film with the Agfa camera.

The color film is processed in the C-41 process. It is common for most outside photo labs to offer the C-41 process. The black and white film is processed in a black and white developer, such as D-76 or Rodinal.
