Smena

The word “Smena” (Cmeha) can be translated into “Young Generation”. The cameras were aimed at this target group.

The Smenas were intended to give young people in the USSR access to photography with affordable cameras. The cameras were built in St. Petersburg by Lomo, who also manufactured the Lomo LC-A. The first Smenas hit the market in 1952. The series was very popular and continued for a long time.
