Pentax

The company was founded in November 1919 as Asahi Kogaku Goshi Kaisha by Kumao Kajiwara in a store in Tokyo’s Toshima district, and began manufacturing eyeglass lenses. Later, the company started producing cameras.

Today Pentax belongs to Ricoh.
