Films for the camera

The instant camera is designed for the Polaroid 600 format. However, Polaroid has ceased production. Fortunately, the 600 films from The Impossible Project fit into the Polaroid Impulse AF, and these have been sold again under the original brand since 2020.

For color images, for example, the Polaroid Color Film for 600* or the Polaroid B&W Film for 600* for black and white images. These are freshly produced and are the one way to revive the instant camera.

Batteries

What batteries do you need to get for the instant camera? With this type of camera, the battery is found in the cartridge with the unexposed pictures. The disposable battery contains the necessary energy for the camera technology including the built-in flash. Therefore, changing the film also means changing the battery. Another battery is not required for the instant camera. The film cassette, because of the battery, should not be thrown into the normal household waste if possible. It is better to take the plastic cassette or the battery to an appropriate local drop-off point.
