The Holga 120 PC 3D is a medium format camera. Like the Holga 120 3D, this plastic camera also comes with two lenses. This allows stereoscopic shots to be taken. Instead of the typical plastic lenses, however, it has two small pinhole apertures. These have a diameter of 0.3 mm.
Since you have to expose for quite a long time, it only has a bulb mode. When estimating the exposure time, a small table on the back of the camera helps.
Since handheld pinhole shooting is quite difficult, the Holga has a tripod mount for this purpose. There is also a possibility to use a cable release.
The camera is normally loaded with medium format film (eBay / Amazon*). The format is 6×6, which is square. Since you take two shots at once, you can only capture 6 different subjects on a roll of film with a normal 120 film roll.

FAQ about the Holga 120 PC 3D
Is this camera easy to use for beginners?
While the Holga 120 PC 3D is a simple camera in design, its pinhole lenses and bulb mode require some experience to master. Accurate exposure requires practice and using a tripod is strongly recommended. Don't be discouraged though, the results can be amazing!
What kind of film does this camera use?
The camera takes 120 film, which is a medium format film. The images produced are 6x6 cm squares. Remember that because it takes two exposures at once, you'll only get 6 pairs of images per roll.
How does it create 3D images?
The camera has two pinhole lenses which simultaneously capture slightly different perspectives of the subject, mimicking human vision. This dual perspective is what produces the stereoscopic (3D) effect when viewed with a stereoscope.
Does the camera have any focusing mechanism?
No, the Holga 120 PC 3D does not have a focusing mechanism. Both lenses are fixed and the camera's depth of field is essentially infinite, meaning everything from a few feet away to infinity will appear somewhat in focus.
Can I use a tripod with this device?
Yes, the camera has a tripod mount. This is highly recommended because long exposure times are often necessary due to its pinhole lenses. This helps prevent blurry images.
