The Haking Autoflash 35 is a viewfinder camera. It was introduced by Haking in the 70s. The model was built in Hong Kong. In Germany the model was sold under the name “Revue 350F” by Foto Quelle. It was also offered as Topcon 135 EE.
The lens of the Haking Autoflash 35 is fixed. The label of the lens is “Hakinon Lens 40mm 1:2.8”. The focal length is 40 mm and the maximum aperture is f/2.8. You have to focus the lens by hand. The 35mm camera does not have an autofocus function.
Photography is made easier by the built-in exposure meter. It was designed for films with a speed of ISO 25 to ISO 450. Exposure settings are set automatically by the camera.
There is a built-in flash for taking pictures in insufficient light. For long time exposures there is a thread for a tripod.
The camera requires two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) for the built-in flash. A PX625 battery (eBay / Amazon*) is required for the light meter.
Films for the Haking Autoflash 35
For taking pictures with the Haking Autoflash 35, 35mm films are needed. For this film format, there is still a good selection of material for color and black and white images. One way to get color images is the Kodak Ultramax 400* and the Kodak T-Max 400* for black-and-white photos.
The color film is processed in the C-41 process. This development process is available at almost every photo lab.
The image size on the negatives is 24 mm x 36 mm. For the next frame, the photographer has manually wind the camera.
The Haking Autoflash 35 can today only found in used condition. Prices for the camera vary depending on the state of the camera.
