Pentax 645 Series

The Pentax 645 series is a line of medium format SLR cameras from Pentax. They all expose medium format film in the 6 x 4.5 image format. The cameras in the series are equipped with a Pentax 645 lens mount and were designed for the professional market.

The first medium format camera in the series was introduced in 1984. In 2010, the Pentax 645D, a model with a digital sensor, followed. Four years later, the Pentax 645Z arrived, featuring a 51.4 megapixel CMOS sensor and a 27-point autofocus system, impressing with its relatively low introductory price for the segment.
