Orbitkey Tech Organiser

Anyone who regularly travels with a camera and laptop knows the inevitable chaos of charging cables, adapters, and external storage devices at the bottom of their bag.

Orbitkey has now introduced four new organisers. We take a closer look at the Tech Organiser and the smaller Tech Organiser Mini.

Tech Organiser Mini

In direct comparison, the Tech Organiser Mini quickly proved to be my personal favorite for everyday mobile use. This is mainly due to its compact dimensions, which offer exactly the space needed for the most essential items.

Two or three charging cables, a compact external SSD like the Samsung, as well as a charger and headphones, fit in here without any problem. You don't have to painstakingly untangle cables because the elastic compartments and slots inside keep everything securely in place. There is also an elastic loop for a pen.

The outer material leaves a robust and resilient impression, easily withstanding rough transport in a backpack. The material is made of durable 600D Cyclepet, a fabric made from recycled plastic with a protective PU coating that reliably repels moisture and dirt in everyday use.

The zipper runs smoothly and opens wide, giving you immediate access to the contents without having to rummage around for long.

Despite the well-thought-out space distribution, the Mini naturally reaches its limits when the equipment becomes more extensive. Large laptop power supplies or thicker power banks simply don't fit without unsightly bulging or straining the zipper.

So if you want to carry a complete charging setup for long trips, you'll quickly hit the limit with the compact dimensions. However, for the daily commute or a photo walk with reduced gear, the format is ideally sized.

Tech Organiser

When the mobile office demands more accessories, the larger Tech Organiser comes into play. This variant not only offers significantly more volume but also follows a different operating concept.

The main compartment opens like an accordion and, thanks to the sturdy base, stands on its own on the desk. This instantly transforms the bag into a practical desk organizer where every compartment is directly visible.

Interestingly, the large organiser is by no means only suitable for tech products. In practical use, it has proven to be excellent for repurposing as a stationery and office supplies holder. Highlighters, scissors, notepads, correction tapes, and pencil lead containers can be neatly stored in the tiered inner compartments. If you appreciate analog notes or keep sketchbooks, you'll find a clever combination of pencil case and tech pouch that keeps your desk tidy.

The material and workmanship are identical to the Mini version.

Another nice extra is the second zipper. This gives quick access to a compartment that can hold pens or other frequently used items. The bag also has a handle.

What I particularly like about the organiser is that the bag adapts in depth to its contents. Thanks to the flexible construction, the organiser remains quite compact even when not fully packed. In an already tight camera bag or backpack, it takes up noticeably less space. Unlike many other models that are very rigidly built.

Conclusion

Orbitkey delivers a successful answer to everyday accessory chaos with both bags. The Tech Organiser Mini impresses with its handy form and is the ideal choice for anyone who wants to keep their basic cables, storage, and adapter within easy reach.

The regular Tech Organiser, on the other hand, scores with its clever stand function and versatility, making it attractive for both more extensive tech setups and stationery.

The workmanship is of a high standard in both models, so the decision ultimately depends on your individual space requirements in your backpack.
