What is that camera in Avril Lavigne's "Hello Kitty" video? Is it a Polaroid camera?
It is an instant camera, but not a Polaroid. More precisely, a pink Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 (Amazon). With it, you can take pictures about the size of a credit card.
There are special films that are placed in the camera. After triggering the instant camera, the image comes out of the camera and after a few minutes, during which the image must not be shaken, you have the finished photo in your hand. You can then hang it up, give it away, stick it in a diary, or paint or write on it.
The Instax series from Fujifilm includes several other cameras, which, like the films (Instax Mini Film*), are still being produced new. The Instax Mini 8, seen in Avril Lavigne's "Hello Kitty" music video, is easy to use and not excessively expensive. In any case, you can have a lot of fun with it.
