Lomography has kept its promise and introduced two glass lenses for the Belair
As announced some time ago, there are now new lenses for the Belair X 6-12. Two Russian lenses are now available for the medium format camera. The Belairgon 90mm and Belairgon 114mm.
Both have a maximum aperture of f/8, which is due to the Belair, where larger apertures are not possible for design reasons. On a 35mm camera, the 90mm lens corresponds to approximately 32mm (6 x 12), 40mm (6 x 9), 52mm (6 x 6). The 114mm corresponds depending on the format to 42mm (6 x 12), 52mm (6 x 9), 67mm (6 x 6).
Lomography promises excellent sharpness and incredible depth of field with both. As with the plastic lenses, there is a zone focusing system (1m, 1.5m, 3m, infinity). Visually, they make a rather futuristic impression.
Currently, you can only pre-order the two lenses at Lomography. However, you get a 20% early bird discount, which is valid until the end of December. The normal price of both lenses in the Lomography online shop is 199 euros. However, only a limited quantity of 200 lenses each is available.
Delivery is guaranteed by the end of February at the latest.
Included with the Belair standard are two lenses, 58mm & 90mm. Both lenses are made of plastic.
