Rollei introduces a new black and white film at the end of 2013, the Rollei RPX 25
Just before the end of the year, there is news from Rollei/Maco. The Hamburg-based company has a new black and white film in its lineup. The Rollei RPX 25 is the newest member of the RPX series.
The Rollei RPX 25 is advertised with extraordinary fineness of grain, very good resolving power, and high edge sharpness.
Furthermore, on the shop page it says:
The Rollei RPX 25 is characterized by a high sensitivity reserve of one stop, depending on development. The thin-layer silver-rich emulsion is coated on a clear base and offers an excellent performance ratio between image quality (sharpness/fineness of grain) and utilization of sensitivity.
The panchromatic black and white film with a nominal sensitivity of ISO 25 is available for 35mm and medium format cameras.
Additionally, the entire RPX series, RPX 25, RPX 100, RPX 400, will be delivered in cardboard boxes from January 2014. Inside these boxes is a table with development times. The Rollei RPX 25 can be purchased for €4.80 as a 120 film already in the shop of Maco/Rollei.
