One company introduces a new camera, the other ceases production
Fotokemika is a manufacturer of films (efke, some Adox films) and photographic papers. Now production is reportedly being discontinued, affecting not only photographic paper but also the film range. The main reason is likely money. Further production is simply no longer profitable for the Croatian company.
If Fotokemika completely shuts down operations, it will affect the following films:
efke 25 − 50 − 100
efke IR820/Aura
Adox CHS 25 − 50 − 100
But there is also good news: the Adox people reportedly want to manufacture an improved Adox CHS themselves and bring it to market. How long this will take is not yet determined.
