Minolta SR-T 100

The Minolta SR-T 100 is an SLR camera. The model was positioned by Minolta for beginners and is based on the SR-T 101. However, many functions of the SR-T 101 are missing. The shutter offers times from 1/500 second to 1 second. A Bulb setting is available on the 35mm photo camera. This can be used for long exposures. For this, you can also place the camera on a tripod and use a cable release to trigger the shutter.

A flash can also be connected to the camera. The flash can be attached to the hot shoe on the top of the camera. The fastest usable shutter speed in combination with a flash is 1/60 second.

Films for the Minolta SR-T 100

The Minolta SR-T 100 requires 35mm film. The film transport is done manually with a quick release lever. This also increments the counter for the number of photos taken. The return transport into the cartridge is done by turning a crank.

35 mm films are still produced by various manufacturers around the world. For color pictures, for example, there is the flexible Kodak Ultramax 400*. A nice option for black and white images with the Japanese SLR is the Kodak T-Max 400*.

The development process for 35mm color film is the C-41 process. The C-41 process follows a set standard and is offered by most developing labs. Black and white film cannot be developed in the C-41 process, but needs a different developer. For this you can find instructions online to do the development yourself.
