  • Manufacturer Olympus
  • Focal Length 24 mm
  • Max Aperture f/2.8

The Olympus AF 24mm f/2.8 is an autofocus lens. It was introduced towards the end of the OM series and is part of a selection of lenses with automated focus.

The focal length of the fixed focal length is given as 24mm. Therefore, it can be counted to the group of wide-angle lenses. f/2.8 is the largest aperture of the lens. The smallest aperture can be set to f/22. 25 cm distance is required for a sharp subject.

The wide-angle lens can only be used on two models in the OM series. These are the OM-707 (OM-77 AF) and OM-101 PF (OM-88). The reason for this is that the adjustments in the lens run through the camera electronics. There is no focus ring or aperture adjustment option on the lens. Therefore, there is no possibility to use the autofocus lens on a modern SLR camera.

The number of elements on the Olympus AF 24mm f/2.8 is 6. These are arranged in six groups. A 49mm filter lens, such as an ND filter, can be attached in front of the lens. The weight of the lens is given as 170 grams with a length of 3.2 cm.
