The Halina Vision XMS Mini T is a cheap automatic compact camera. It comes from the company Haking.
Camera properties
Equipped with a 35mm lens, which is firmly anchored in the camera, the Halina Vision XMS Mini T offers an estimated focal length between 28mm and 35mm. Although it lacks autofocus, the fixed focus setting, characterized as focus-free, still makes it easy and straightforward to use. A sliding door is provided to protect the lens from damage and dirt.
This camera has a built-in exposure metering system. Thanks to the film cartridge’s automatic film sensitivity detection, the Halina Vision XMS Mini T automatically regulates the interaction between aperture and exposure time, making manual settings superfluous.
Of course, there is also a built-in flash, complemented by a special “red-eye reduction” mode. There is no need to do without additional functions: it offers the option of using the self-timer as required. There is also a tripod thread.
The camera uses CR123A batteries (eBay / Amazon*) as a power source, whereby the use of rechargeable variants is particularly recommended.
Types of film for the Halina Vision XMS Mini T
According to the user manual, the Halina Vision XMS Mini T accepts standard 35mm film. These types of film are still available from various manufacturers and can be processed without any problems.
Among the recommended films for this pocket camera are the Kodak Gold 200* for color shots and the Ilford Delta 400* for black and white photographs. But other manufacturers such as Lomography, Fujifilm, Rollei, Adox and Foma also have suitable films on offer.
Most photo labs offer the development of these films. Prints can be ordered directly from the negatives, or choose the option to digitize the negatives for use as digital files.
The negatives of the Halina Vision XMS Mini T have the dimensions 24 mm x 36 mm. An automatic system winds the film after each shot, while a counter on the top shows the number of photos already taken.
When the film ends, it is automatically rewound back into its cartridge. Only then should the camera be opened to remove the film for processing. To avoid damage from exposure to light, the camera should under no circumstances be opened until the film has been completely rewound.
