Camera features

The Halina Vision XAS Mini T features a built-in 35mm lens that offers an expected focal length of 28mm to 35mm. The built-in autofocus system takes care of focusing, while a sliding door protects the lens from dirt and damage.

The camera is equipped with an integrated exposure metering system, and the automatic film recognition via the film cartridge controls the symbiosis of aperture and exposure time, making manual adjustments obsolete.

There is also a built-in flash, aided by a special “red-eye” reduction mode. In addition, it offers practical additional functions such as an adjustable self-timer and a tripod mount. CR123A batteries (eBay / Amazon*) are required for operation.

Film options for the Halina Vision XAS Mini T

According to the operating instructions, the Halina Vision XAS Mini T accepts conventional 35mm film, which is available from several manufacturers and is easy to develop.

Recommended films for this pocket camera include Kodak Gold 200* for color snapshots and Ilford Delta 400* for black and white shots. Other brands such as Lomography, Fujifilm, Rollei, Adox and Foma also offer suitable films.

Many photo labs offer the development of these films, and the prints can be made directly from the negatives or converted to digital files.

The negatives of the Halina Vision XAS Mini T have the dimensions 24 mm x 36 mm. An automatic mechanism takes care of advancing the film after each shot, while a counter on the top shows the number of shots already taken.

At the end of the film, it is automatically rewound into its cartridge. Only then should the film be removed to avoid light damage. Care should be taken not to open the camera before the film is fully rewound.
