The Halina Vision Mini 28 DF is a compact camera, ideal for snapshot-like recordings. It was produced by the renowned Hong Kong company Haking.

Camera features

The most prominent feature of the camera is its 35mm lens, which is fitted with a 28mm lens. It is a fixed focus model that requires no manual adjustment. A sliding cover protects the lens from potential damage and dirt.

Both aperture and exposure time are automatically regulated by the camera, eliminating the need for manual adjustments.

Additionally, the camera has an internal flash, although it doesn’t offer a specific “red-eye” reduction mode. Also missing is a tripod mount and self-timer, but it does offer the ability to attach a wrist strap.

Another interesting feature is the Fake Panorama mode. Activating this mode shifts an internal mask, hiding part of the image, creating the appearance of a panorama in the final images.

The camera uses two AAA (eBay / Amazon*) batteries to power it, although using rechargeable batteries is a better choice.

Film options for the Halina Vision Mini 28 DF

According to the user manual, the Halina Vision Mini 28 DF accepts 35mm film, which can still be obtained and processed from various manufacturers.

Recommended films for this compact camera include Kodak Gold 200* for color images and Ilford Delta 400* for black and white images. In addition, alternatives from brands such as Lomography, Fujifilm, Rollei, Adox and Foma are available.

Most photo laboratories offer the development of these films, whereby prints can be ordered directly from the negatives. Another option is to digitize the negatives for use as digital files.
