The Halina Vision AFW-28 is one of the top models in the Halina Vision series. It comes from the company Haking. It was produced in Hong Kong. The housing is made of plastic. This model comes with a splash-proof housing.
Camera features
The Halina Vision AFW-28 scores with a fixed 28mm lens. The focus of the lens is made by the built-in autofocus system. To protect the lens from any damage or contamination, it has a practical sliding door.
Thanks to the camera’s built-in light meter, the perfect balance between aperture and exposure time is automatically adjusted, making manual adjustments obsolete. This is done with the help of an automatic film sensitivity detection, which is triggered by the film cartridge.
A built-in flash with a special “red-eye” reduction mode is also available, and various additional features offer extended possibilities of use, including the flexible use of the self-timer and a tripod mount.
Another function is the panorama mode. A switch on the top crops the image through a mask. This creates the impression of a panorama.
The Halina Vision AFW-28 is powered by CR123A batteries (eBay / Amazon*). This type of battery is very easy to find online.
Film options for the Halina Vision AFW-28
According to the operating instructions, the Halina Vision AFW-28 accepts standard 35mm films. These film variants are still available from various suppliers and can be developed without any problems.
The preferred films for this type of camera include the Kodak Gold 200* for colorful shots and the Ilford Delta 400* for black and white -Pictures. Furthermore, brands such as Lomography, Fujifilm, Rollei, Adox and Foma also offer suitable films.
A large number of imaging laboratories enable the development of these films. Prints can be ordered directly from the negatives or alternatively the negatives can be converted to digital files.
The negative strips of the Halina Vision AFW-28 measure 24 mm x 36 mm. An automatic system advances the film after each shot, while a counter on top of the camera keeps track of the shots already taken.
At the end of the film, it automatically rewinds into the cartridge. Only then should the housing be opened to remove the film for further processing. To avoid damage from light, never open the camera before the film is fully rewound.
