The Washi X 400 is a color negative film. Like the Digibase CN 200 from Rollei, the Washi film does not have an orange mask, but a clear carrier.
The Washi X 400 is only available as 35mm film. One cartridge is enough for 24 pictures. The cartridge does not have DX encoding. It must be developed in the C-41 process. However, it can also be processed in the E6 process, like slide film.
The material on which the Washi X 400 is based was actually designed for traffic monitoring.
