The PX 100 Silver Shade UV+ is a black and white instant film. It is an improved version of the PX 100 Silver Shade and is manufactured by The Impossible Project.

The PX 100 Silver Shade UV+ is for Polaroid SX-70 cameras. It has a special UV filter that improves the performance of the black and white film, especially in terms of contrast, color tones and stability of the images.

Like all films from The Impossible Project, this film is different from Polaroid's old instant films. Compared to the old PX 100, the new instant film with the addition of "UV+" delivers more black and white images without a yellow to sepia look.

The PX 100 is a bit more sensitive than the old Polaroid films, so the light/dark wheel should be turned 1/3 to 2/3 in the dark direction. After the camera ejects the image, it should be immediately protected from light. During development, about 3 minutes, it should also for good results. For good results, it should be protected from light and kept at a temperature of 21°C for the development time of about 3 minutes.

Update

The PX 100 Silver Shade UV+ is no longer in production. For black and white images with an SX-70, the newer Polaroid B&W Film for SX-70* is a better choice.
