The Rollei Vario Chrome is a slide film. It was introduced in the summer of 2017 by Rollei/Macodirect in a limited edition. Actually, Rollei wanted to bring a newly developed slide film to the market, but they decided against it for the time being and brought already produced material of a well-known manufacturer to the market under the name "Vario Chrome". Europe is indicated on the packaging of the color film as the place of manufacture.
According to Rollei, the slide film has a variable film speed. It can be exposed between ISO 200 and ISO 400. If the photographer's goal is to scan the images, the manufacturer recommends ISO 200; for projection, ISO 400 is said to be best.
The cartridge of the film is marked with a DX code. This gives the camera a sensitivity of ISO 320.
The color film is developed in the E6 process. The Rollei Vario Chrome is only available as 35mm film with 36 frames. The Rollei VarioChrome is not available for medium format cameras.

The film was exposed to ISO 320 and developed in E6. An Olympus OM 2 with a 50mm f/1.4 was used and digitized with a Canoscan 9000F (eBay / Amazon*).
