The Polaroid Originals Color i-Type film is an instant film. The Polaroid company is responsible for the production of the film. However, this is not the original company from the USA, but the successors, which were temporarily active under the name "The Impossible Project". In the meantime, they have the original brand name. So you can buy "Polaroid films" again. The film material is produced in the Netherlands.

The Polaroid Color i-Type film was developed for the i-Type instant format. This film format was developed by The Impossible Project. An instant picture with this film has a size of 8.8 x 10.7 cm. The actual image is 7.9 x 7.9 cm and is surrounded by a frame. The frames around the images are white with this film. However, there are limited special editions where the frames are printed in other colors or with motifs.

Development begins automatically after the image is ejected. You need to allow about 15 minutes for development.

Film format

The film can be used in i-type format models. These include the Polaroid Originals OneStep 2, Impossible Instant Lab, Polaroid Lab, Polaroid Now and Polaroid Now+.

The pictures are stored in the so-called film cassette. Unlike the 600 film, there is no battery in the film cassette. Therefore, you cannot use the film in the Polaroid 600 cameras. Therefore, it cannot be used in the old Polaroid cameras of the American photo pioneer. For the 600 format there is about the Polaroid Color Film for 600*.

One pack of the film is enough for eight shots with an instant camera.

In addition to the color film, there is also a black-and-white film for monochrome images for the i-Type format (Polaroid B&W Film for i-Type*).

Packaging

The packaging of the film was changed over time.
