Konica Color Super SR 200

  • Manufacturer Konica
  • Sensitivity (ISO) ISO 200
  • Film Type Color negative film
  • Availability Discontinued

The Konica Color Super SR 200 is a color negative film. In addition to this film, there was also the SR 100.

The Color Super SR 200 is designed for color photography. The manufacturer specifies the sensitivity as ISO 200.

Development of the film

For development, the film must be processed in the C-41 process. Color negative film development is offered by most photo labs. Nowadays, if you can get your hands on a roll, you should expose it a little more. The reason for this is the loss of sensitivity over the years. Very important pictures should not be taken on the expired film stock.

Availability and alternatives

The Color Super SR 200 was only available as 35mm film. With a size of 24 x 36 mm per frame, 36 shots fit on a single roll of the film. The film cartridge was marked with a DX code. The code contained the film speed and could be read by some cameras.

Production of color film was discontinued. An alternative for 35mm format is the Kodak Gold 200*. For medium format cameras today, you could reach for the Kodak Portra 160* as an alternative.
