The Kodak T-Max 400 is a black and white film. The sensitivity of the panchromatic film is specified with ISO 400. However, it can also be pushed a bit.

It is said to be, according to Kodak, the sharpest and finest grain 400 black and white film. The T-Max 400 was updated by Kodak in October 2007 and has been produced with a new formula since then.

Kodak advertises the T-Grain emulsion as having high sensitivity and detail. The Kodak T-Max 400 is processed in a black and white developer.

Formats

The Kodak T-Max 400 is available for 35mm and medium format (120) cameras. It also comes in 4x5 and 8x10 formats for large format cameras. In addition to the T-Max 400, there is also the T-Max 100 and the T-Max P3200.

The 35mm film is equipped with DX encoding. With a normal image size, 36 images fit on the film. Manufacturers like Zenit, Leica or Nikon have suitable cameras for the 35mm format in their range. Of course, there are also other cameras that are suitable for the use of 35mm film.

How many images fit on a roll of medium format film depends on the size of the exposure area. Several manufacturers have produced medium format cameras, including Pentacon, Rollei, Mamiya and many others. These cameras are suitable for exposing medium format film.
