The Fujifilm Sensia 100 is a slide film. This amateur slide film was available for little money. It was primarily designed for amateurs, so it was only available as 35mm film. However, it also cost much less than the professional films.

Besides the Sensia 100, there was also a 200 and 400. But these two were already discontinued, the Sensia 100 was still available for a while longer. There were also several versions of the Sensia 100 itself. This article refers to the last version.

Developed as slide film (E6 process), it produces fairly normal images with a fine grain. If the film is developed in this process, it can also be projected on the wall with a slide projector.

When cross-developed in C-41, the results may vary. This is said to be related to the manufacturer of the developing chemistry. For example, photographs with very warm red and orange tones can result. But it can also result in photos that resemble a view through pink glasses. Most of the time, the photos are quite contrasty. However, the Sensia 100 is always good for a surprise when it comes to the results as a cropped film.

The Sensia 100 has been discontinued by Fujifilm and is only sold at horrendous prices, if at all. There is no direct successor for this film. As an alternative and replacement, you can reach for the Kodak Ektachrome E100G *. This film provides solid color slides. They are also wonderful for viewing with a slide projector.

Sample photos

These sample photos were taken with the Sensia 100 and Lomo LC-A+ and were cross processed in C-41.

For these images, the slide film was exposed in an Olympus SLR camera and then developed in the regular E-6 process. Digitization was done with a Canoscan 9000F.
