Fujifilm MS 100/1000

  • Manufacturer Fujifilm
  • Sensitivity (ISO) ISO 100
  • Film Type Slide film
  • Availability Discontinued

The Fujifilm MS 100/1000 is a slide film. It was produced by Fujifilm for 35 mm cameras and medium format cameras (120 and 220).

The interesting thing about this color film is certainly its wide sensitivity range. You can either expose it to ISO 100 or push it up to 3 stops. The slide film is cast on a triacetate base. The edge of the film is labeled "RMS".

The MS 100/1000 is developed using the E6 slide development process. This process is offered by most photo labs. Pushing is more difficult with this film, as fewer labs are willing to leave the film in the developer for a longer time.

If you expose the film today, you should keep in mind that films lose sensitivity over time.

Production of the Fujifilm MS 100/1000 has ended. With alternatives it does not look very good. A replacement might have been the versatile Provia 400X, but unfortunately this is also no longer produced. In general, of course, the Kodak Ektachrome E100G * is an excellent choice for color slides.

The medium format film was exposed in the Pentax 645. An expired film was used. The film was developed in the E6 process.
