The FilmNeverThe SORA 200 is a color negative film for 35mm cameras. It was offered by the FilmNeverDie brand from Australia. It was produced by another company. The name "Sora" is Japanese and means "sky".

With its sensitivity of ISO 200, it is particularly suitable for taking photos in daylight and good lighting conditions. It delivers soft tones and fine grain, making it ideal for portraits, landscapes and street photography. Its versatility makes it suitable for both beginners and experienced photographers.

Formats and cameras

The SORA 200 is only available in 35mm format with 36 exposures. It can be used in all analog cameras that support the 35mm format. These include both manual and automatic cameras, single lens reflex cameras (SLR) and rangefinder cameras.

The film cartridge is delivered in paper packaging. The design was created by the artist Edmund Li from Malaysia.

Development and digitalization

The SORA 200 is developed using the C-41 process, the most common process for color negative film. This means it can be easily developed in most photo labs. After development, the negatives can either be ordered as prints on photo paper or digitized. Various options are available for digitization, such as scanning with a flatbed scanner or a special film scanner.

Storage of film material

Like all films, SORA 200 should be stored in a cool, dry place to ensure its quality and durability. Ideally it should be stored at temperatures between 10°C and 20°C. Avoid direct sunlight and high humidity. Unopened films can be stored for several years, while developed negatives can last for decades if stored properly.

Alternatives

There is no longer any freshly produced material from the film. An alternative for the 35mm format is the Kodak Gold 200*. This film delivers solid results with any 35mm camera.
