DM Paradies Dia 100

  • Manufacturer DM
  • Sensitivity (ISO) ISO 100
  • Film Type Slide film
  • Availability Discontinued

The DM Paradies Dia 100 is a slide film. It was sold by the German drugstore chain "DM". The film was probably produced by Kodak. Rumor has it that it was an Elite Chrome 100. After Kodak ended their slide films, they also discontinued slide film, which was only available in 35mm format.

For a price of around three euros, it was a solid slide film with a sensitivity of ISO 100.

When cross-developed in C-41, it produces rich colors with strong contrasts. This comes out best on a sunny day. Blue tones in particular come out well with it.

Normally, there are only a few color shifts, but sometimes it also produces a slight green tint. It also shines with a relatively fine grain in the "wrong" development.

After discontinuation, DM replaced it with the slightly more expensive AgfaPhoto CT Precisa 100. Which, however, is quite different from the Paradies Dia 100.

Both shots were taken with the Lomo LC-A+ and the DM 100 and cross developed in C-41.
