The Cinestill bwXX is a black and white film. It was introduced in 2014 and is Cinestill's second 35mm film, after the 800 Tungsten.

The bwXX is based on Kodak's EASTMAN DOUBLE-X, one of Kodak's last black-and-white films for the production of motion pictures and the like. Films such as Schilder's List, Memento and the Bond film Casino Royale were shot on it. Users of the discontinued Kodak Plus-x and TXP320 will like the Cinestill bwXX.

Cinestill recommends the Kodak D-96 developer for development, but the film can also be processed in another black-and-white developer. So far, the Cinestill bwXX is only available for 35mm cameras.

In the meantime, production of the black-and-white film has been discontinued. It is not known whether it will be reissued.
